The ENGR 5 sequence may be replaced by ECE 140 or 130C. No other substitutions are possible. If a student chooses 140 or 130C as a substitution for the ENGR 5 sequence, s/he may not use that course as an ECE elective (no double-dipping). Anyone choosing this option must submit a Petition for Graduation Requirements with the College of Engineering Undergrad Office. There's a blanket approval for the above petition.

ENGR 5A may be replaced by any College of Engineering courses as long as that course has not been used for any other requirements for the major. Once again, a student must submit a Petition for Graduation Requirements with the College of Engineering Undergrad Office for this substitution option. The CE Director's signature will be required on this form.
