Schedule for the OEO setup demonstration for next 2 month

  • 1, 2011,11/08~2011,11/15, 1week
    • a, get components together for a basic OEO system (Yao's first demonstration on 1996) (Yongbo)
    • b, Phase noise measurement of a signal generator or any commercial product to see whether we can do it and how much we can do. (Danielle)
    • c, figure out the way how to do polish of the IPhod ring (Daryl)
    • d, Paper study (Sudha). Demonstration of the evolution of the OEO systems for typical 4~5 groups (like NIST, OEwave etc), comparison of their systems' performance.
  • 2, 2011,11/15~2011,11/29, 2weeks
    • a, build the basic OEO system and demonstration. (Danielle and Yongbo)
      • I', make it work and measure the phase noise
      • II', change the components (e.g. different lasers, filters) or some way to improve the system performance.
    • b, Order 3D PZT adjuster etc for new OEO stage (Yongbo)
    • c, IPhod Ring ship out for polishment (Daryl)
  • 3, 2011,11/29~2011,12/13, 2weeks
    • a, replace the fiber by a fiber loop resonator (one bus ring or add-drop ring) and try different configurations (Danielle and Yongbo)
    • b, AR coating for the IPhod ring (Daryl)
    • c, order necessary components based on the study of the basic OEO system (Yongbo)
  • 4, after 2011,12/13 New PZT stage should be ready, 4week
    • a, demonstration of the new system with the fiber ring replaced by the IPhod ring (Danielle and Yongbo, Daryl)
