Si Zhu received the B.S. degree in optoelectronics from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in 2015. After that, she joined the Photonic Technology Center in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and received the Ph.D. degree in 2020 for her work on monolithic integrated InP-on-Si quantum dot lasers and photonic integrated circuits. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Integrated Photonics Laboratory at the University of California Santa Barbara. Her research interests are mainly focused on the monolithic integration of long wavelength III-V semiconductor quantum-dot lasers, micro- and nano-cavity opto-electronic devices on silicon and photonic integrated circuits.
