Hi Daryl,

The only way to determine the exact length is to measure the delay. From my estimation the length can be between 37 m and 40m. I know the total length of the Erbium Doped Fiber from the unit but I do not know the total length of the passive fiber, which will fluctuate from one unit to other one.

Regards,

Viorel

Hi Daryl,

The total fiber length should be about 40 m (estimation from the last design). However, I have to find the unit's folder to confirm this value and for this I need more time.

Viorel

Hello Viorel,

It was nice to meet you at OFC yesterday. I checked our system and we actually have an EPA P21-F (Serial #:EFA-0703-816; RS-232; Manufactured: 02-02-07). If you could let me know what the fiber length and delay is in the system, I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Daryl Spencer
