My research is broadly in artificial intelligence and machine learning, optimization, information theory, game theory, and stochastic networks. Before joining UCSB in Fall 2016, I was a postdoctoral scholar in the EECS Department at UC Berkeley. I received my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 2015, my M.Sc. from EPFL in 2011, and my B.Sc. from the University of Tehran in 2009.
